Summer Coming to An End

It’s been an amazing 1st summer here in BC so far for me. Been loving meeting all the new crew and getting the opportunity to be a Daily on so many sets.

Still available for IATSE Show and Day calls coming into the fall. I have updated my AVAILABILITY page to be in calendar format. Now ,any dates I am not available are in Orange Text  while available days are just plain black.  I also added a few updated shows to my credits section, but for now I am keeping some of my dailies off that list.

For kit upgrades, I recently added an iPad to my equipment, but am still mostly using my Macbook Air, with ScriptE, on set.

Just finishing up getting ready for a day call as I type this, so until next time.

Happy filming all!

Got some great news I can finally share.

Not only did No Where get accepted to the Top Indie Film Awards(!), we were ALSO NOMINATED their Low Budget Spirit Award AND for Best Twist! You can check the full festival results here.

We’re still waiting to find out if we get screened in Tokyo in 2020 but you can imagine the team is honoured and thrilled with the nominations!

Thanks again to the amazing crew who helped make this project happen! In the mean time keep an eye open because a new project is on the slate and my new West Coast team is coming together. I’m so excited for what the future holds right now.

Also, check out my Script Supervisor Availability Page because my summer is starting to fill up but I’m still hoping for a busy fall and winter. Please reach out!

Happy filming all!

Busy But With Some Good News and Not So Great News

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, been keeping busy on set this past month with work on various shows, started development for a 2nd short film and got some news from a film festival which I will be officially announcing next week.

The Good news is a booked a show at the end of June into the start of July. Check my AVAILABILITY page to see what dates I am free if you are looking for a Scripty and want to book me.

The not as great news from the blog title refers to the MiTribe short film fund. Sadly, we didn’t move forward to the 2nd round. But that is not going to stop up. Next up we are looking for other opportunities for any funding and if I have to, I’ll pay for it out of pocket again. (Though I really hope I don’t have to.)

Still working on slowly improving my kit on set, and loving my job more than ever!

Kit Upgrades And Other Updates

I am super excited to add the BlackMagic Design Ultra Studio Mini Recorder and Freak Show HD 2 camera switcher, along with this light and mobile Music Stand and accessory shelf to my kit. Now I can stream the images directly to my computer for screen captures.

As much as I love my old, heavier and larger table I can’t deny how awesome it is to be able to carry this one with one hand. My only issue with using it is how small the surface area on the top is. Hopefully the little shelf I just added makes up for it.

I also got a few new sets of multicoloured pens that I am stoked to use (they write so nice!) Anyone who has worked with me will tell you I use a lot of different colours in my notes, so having 20+ new unique shades and ink textures  that I can easily distinguish is going to make me very happy on set.

Next planned upgrade (hopefully by the end of the year) will be an IPad holder attachment and my first ever IPad. I have been using Android tablets for years to line scripts and take notes on set but am finally admitting to myself that 90% of the apps and tools I want to use, and are good enough for regular use, only exists in the realm of Apple Products.

For now, I am still using my Macbook Air with Script E Multi-unit for most shoots, but I can do custom digital paperwork or old fashioned Pen and Paper if that’s what production/the editors want.

I currently wrapped my first Pilot here in BC. Had a great time and I really hope that the show gets picked up so one day I can see what happens next. I have been loving working with the crews out here in Vancouver, it’s great working with people who care about each other and the filmmaking process. Can’t wait to get out on set again.

I am also seeking producers and collaborators for my 2nd short film, which has actually been in development since before No Where. So far I have found a co-writer and potential actor and have started meeting with potential producers to add to the team. With the MiTribe funding deadline coming up the script is my main focus. I am more than ready to get this story out of my head and ultimately onto the screen.

‘Til next time…

This is part of the Lift Off Sessions and will be available on Vimeo-On-Demand (keep an eye on our social media for the viewing link). The first round, like the Global Sessions, is based on public votes so please lend us your support!

I also joined WIFTV here in Vancouver and No Where was accepted to be part of this months WIFTV/DOC BC/Cineworks Showcase March 27, 2019. I will be participating in the Q&A afterwards.

Still can’t believe how many good things are constantly happening since I moved to Vancouver. But the truth of it is, It’s not that good things come to those who wait, it’s that good things come to those who put time and energy into making opportunities for themselves.  I just need to get out there and keep on creating.

Finally Claimed my IMDB page

I just claimed and updated my IMDB page, so hopefully it doesn’t take them too long to approve my credits. That was way overdue. You can always check out my list of credits here as well!

Next steps here in Vancouver are more networking and rewriting a short script I want to shoot by the end of the year, or next summer at the latest. Fingers crossed for lots of good news in the future!

All the Best.

Good News, Marching Forth

I am excited to announce that as of March 4th, 2019 my transfer to Local 891 has gone through and I am now a full member of Local 891 in British Columbia.

I am currently available for long term or daily calls.  Looking forward to seeing you all on set.

I have also added an availability section to my website ( though on a day to day basis the IATSE database will most likely be the most reliable if you are looking to hire me for dailies or ASAP calls.

In other good news, An Audience of Chairs, which I had the privilege to work on back in 2017 is getting a limited theatrical release across Canada tomorrow at select Landmark Cinemas and I just bought tickets.  ( )  I am super excited to finally get the chance to see this beautiful film myself and really hope the limited release does so well they get an extended run. Fingers Crossed! And so many congratulations so Deanne Foley, the director, who was an absolute pleasure to work.

Til my next update.
